Preschool (Pre-K1 & Pre-K2):

Classes for 3 and 4 year old children, are taught by qualified and experienced teachers, providing them with preparation for academic success in school and training in Quran, Arabic and Islamic Studies. In the Pre-school, the students are introduced to the alphabets & students are spoken in Arabic as much as possible and are made to feel comfortable understanding and speaking simple everyday conversational Arabic . Emphasis is placed on correct pronunciation of the letters and words and basic writing skills. Students at this level are provided with basic Islamic education based on Quran and Sunnah and solid academic education which will enable them to become successful adults with sound Islamic character. 

In Pre-K1& Pre-K2 program, we provide our students with 'Funshine express' early learning curriculum that incorporates Zoo phonics program with a series, that increases children's knowledge about the world around them and support each area of development with age appropriate learning opportunities and become confident readers at a young age. It Let children build school readiness skills, organize their day and have FUN! .FunShine Express has Professional curriculum and learning materials to helps the school to : remain current and competitive. Build school readiness skills and enthusiasm for learning. Create trust and credibility with parents as a result of offering a high quality, award-winning, fun-filled learning environment for children. Parents and providers receive tools and resources that help children excel. Children learn by hands-on materials and are offered opportunities to make meaningful choices. We offer a wide variety of ideas to build early literacy, math, science, social skills, and MORE!.We address each child socially, physically, emotionally, and cognitively. Our curriculums stimulate thinking, reasoning, decision-making, and problem-solving. They are very flexible! We Pick and choose from our activities to meet the individual needs of the children in your group.Based on current early learning research, Funshine express kits actively engage children and support differences in learning styles, maturity, and interests. This guarantees that our curriculums have the depth to meet educational standards being implemented throughout the pre school . Activities in this curriculum stimulate creativity, build a positive self image in each child, and address the needs of the whole child. It also encourages involvement of family members in child's learning through literature.Fun shine's Fireflies curriculum is Adaptable for children ages 2-5, Fireflies is a high quality, professionally designed early learning program that creates enthusiasm for learning and builds school readiness skills. The monthly activity kits provide educators and parents with strategies for children with various developmental needs, experiences, and culture. Activities and assessment materials are aligned with early learning standard. Each monthly Fireflies Teacher Pack contains a Curriculum Guide and teaching supplies.* In addition to alphabet, sign language, color, shape, and number displays, the pack includes a children's storybook, laminated math game, alphabet word cards, learning center materials, topic cards, and calendar pieces.

KG & GRADES 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6:

Grades 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6 are taught by experienced and committed educators who provide their students with Open Court reading instruction, Saxon Math, and Harcourt Social Studies/ Science curriculum along with enrichment in art, field trips and guest speakers.

GRADE 7, 8, 9 & 10 (Independent Academics Study plus Quran, Arabic & Islamic Studies):

Timings: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM

After school programs (optional) from 3:30 PM- 5:30 PM

Grades 7, 8 & 9 are being taught as a combination of independent school academic program & F.C.S Quran, Arabic & Islamic studies. This is a combined class taught by qualified teachers familiar with the program. Students are registered with F.C.U.S.D. & with F.C.S. Students are tutored in each subject area according to the need of each student. Arabic, Quran, & Islamic studies are taught by qualified teachers and students will be taught at their ability level. Projects in subject areas along with art community resources into the class rooms. 

With the completion of the Elementary Program we are committed to the support of an accessible secondary program that will make Folsom attractive to Muslim families who desire to live in an area with resources that support their efforts to raise the leaders of tomorrow who are religiously and academically prepared to meet the challenges of living and working in a diverse society.
